STAIRS commissions act as dynamic forces of expertise and innovation, crucial to driving the organisation's commitment to nurturing young talents and shaping the future of Grassroots Sports Development.
Commissions may be formed to advise the Session, the STAIRS Executive Board, or the President in achieving the country's growth mission aligned with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals and supporting the country's growth." The commissions, chaired by individuals selected from different segments of society based on their exceptional work, provide valuable guidance and expertise to achieve specific youth and sports development goals. The commissions have clear purposes, goals, and membership criteria, reflecting the organisation's commitment to meticulous planning and impactful action. The President holds an ex officio membership in all commissions, emphasising a leadership role. While the commissions operate autonomously, they align their activities with the organisation's overall strategy and direction. After submitting their proposal to the board and obtaining approval, these commissions also assume the responsibility of initiating a dialogue with the relevant authorities, including the government of India and its various departments.
